Fall loudly

When the house is burning down

Weary ground returned to stars

the way leaves caress the Earth

longing for death and new birth

When the sky has fallen down

and laid light over our scars

When the tree is withered, frail

with no budling left to breathe

A duckling underwater

tumbles over and over

When eyes collapse but tears fail

Dry as the smoldering eaves

When the oceans rise to fall

to sweep human dust away

When no one is left to ring

mourning bells, nor sing

Do you live long enough to remain human,

To properly bury us
