Requiem for louisa

If I borrowed another heart
could you love me?
When split apart
with silver smile

If I abandoned memory
could you teach me?
To bring flowers
not treachery

If I forsook the words spoken
would you teach me?
To mend broken
skin with staplers

If I were not a reminder
of the savage
callous, strangers
clipping our wings
